[Infographic] 2014 NFL User Generated Content Playoffs

It’s been a roller coaster year for the NFL. The AFC and NFC champs have been crowned, and for the first time in Super Bowl history, the number one offense faces the number one defense in the league. As the cards fell for the NFL’s 12 best teams, we decided to see how these teams and their fans stacked up from another angle.

In an era where Merriam-Webster happily includes the word ‘selfie’, and over 750M photos a day are posted across social media, photos have become the primary way for people to communicate what they’re doing, how they’re feeling, and the things they like. Nothing says “I Love My Seahawks” more than taking a photo of your Russell Wilson jersey and sharing it with the world.

At Pixlee, we’re all about social photos and what they mean for brands. In particular, we were curious as to which playoff teams would fare best in a social media competition during this year’s regular season. Being confessed data and football nerds, we’ve used the Pixlee platform to analyze the millions of fan and team user generated content posted this playoff season. Who would win the ring for social media performance? Find out below!
